Publication in development

From prescription to black market.

Who safeguards the way back from oxycodone when prescribing, prolonged use, tapering and illegal trade begin to overlap?

Working status

A critical publication in progress

This publication examines how people can become trapped in a pathway that begins with a legitimate medical prescription but does not always organise a clear or safe route back.

The analysis examines prescribing practice, prolonged use, support during tapering, private treatment routes, commercial incentives and the growing illegal market.

Transparent: the publication has not been completed. Research questions, sources, conclusions and recommendations will first be reviewed for substance and factual accuracy.
